Warning symptoms: act before the routine review

Contact lenses + pain, redness, light sensitivity or sudden blur
  1. Remove the lenses

    Contact the eye-care professional immediately for advice and assessment.

  2. Escalate severe symptoms

    Sudden vision loss or severe symptoms need urgent emergency assessment. Do not wait for a booked routine appointment.

  3. Keep lenses out

    Do not reinsert them until the clinician advises. Do not delay a call to collect a perfect history.
